Congratulations to Humber's Men's Soccer team, which won its 16th OCAA championship on Saturday. The team defeated the Algonquin Wolves 2-0 at Esther Shiner Stadium. Fernando Bossoes from Humber Athletics Communication has the game breakdown.
While the men were on the pitch, the women's team was also playing in their third straight OCAA title match on Saturday against Seneca. Unfortunately, they fell behind early and ended up losing 2-1.

Sound therapy workshop offers stress relief
Humber's Wellness Education and Programs will host a two-hour sound bath workshop Monday afternoon at Lakeshore Campus's G Commons. The session, running from 3 to 5 p.m., begins with a presentation on sound therapy and music's effects on the brain. A 45-minute sound bath follows. Sound baths use instruments like singing bowls or gongs to create resonant frequencies intended to promote relaxation. To register, email: wellness@humber.ca
IGNITE to host a fall-themed painting session on Tuesday. Students can paint canvases, rocks or pumpkins at a free drop-in art session hosted by IGNITE and the Humber Spirituality & Wellness Centre. The event runs Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the IGNITE Zen Zone, located in the K building basement at Lakeshore campus. Materials and snacks will be provided. No artistic experience is required. Students can participate by scanning a QR code at the entrance. Pre-registration is not required.

Dr. Paul Kershaw will analyze how policy decisions have affected millennials and Gen Z, including housing market changes, environmental impacts, and public spending priorities. He'll discuss how building intergenerational solidarity is needed.
