Events coming to the Humber Arboretum

Grab some binoculars and join us for a morning walk in Humber Polytechnic's Arboretum with arboretum staff to check out what birds can be spotted hanging around the garden and woodlands. Be sure to click here to find out when you can see these birds before they leave for the winter.

Invasive species continue to take over the Humber Arboretum and are creating problems for local species. Have an hour to spare? Take some time to join Humber Arboretum staff to remove some of the common invasive plants. If you feel up for the task, click here to learn when you can join and help out.

Here are some intriguing stories from our reporters this week that you might have missed.

All post-secondary international students at Humber Polytechnic will be affected by the federal government's changes to the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) program. International students will begin to face stricter requirements when applying for the program. Find out here about the proposed changes and when they will take effect.

Humber Polytechnic announced the closure of its tractor-trailer program after its more than three-decade-long run. It will officially shut down on Dec. 31. Click here to find out more about the cause behind this closure.
