Good Morning Humber - September 30

Memorial stone for Truth and Reconciliation day

Today is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Humber officially recognized Orange Shirt day last week with IGNITE's walk for reconciliation.

This is a national holiday, but it isn't recognized in Ontario, so Humber will be open today. The Toronto Star has a good run-down of what is open and what is closed today.

Things to know:

Did you know it is illegal to ride an e-scooter in the city of Toronto? If you live elsewhere in the GTA, you might be able to ride one as part of a pilot project. Et Cetera's Aislinn Milette looks at the patchwork of different rules.

It's a busy week for arts and culture at the Lakeshore campus. Ahead of this weekend's Nuit Blache, the one day Culture's Compass conference takes place in G-cottage tomorrow.

Humber Athletics:

Humber's E-sports team is actively recruiting players and coaches for its varsity team. Are you skilled at Valorant, League of Legends, Call of Duty or even Super Smash Bros? Click here to learn more.
